Hi, Dave, I’m a long time reader, first time writer… Well, actually, I’m only one of the two - but I have been featured in a previous Pye In the Face (for all the right reasons). So I was talking to a mutual friend of ours (whose initials just happen to stand for Alleged Jisim Gulper) and he told me of all things that you are a *gasp* Republican. I found this hard to swallow (unlike our friend and his drink of choice – see above) for several reasons: 1) you are what I would describe as “artsy” 2) you live in the blue state of Massachusetts 3) I like you and 4) you are CANADIAN! Do you have a rational explanation for this? Now let me be fair here, I do understand why the Republican party may have its appeal to you – in what other party could a former coke snorting, drunk driving, draft dodging, alcoholic become the most powerful man in the world who gets to lie his face off without recrimination? Hey, wait a sec…sign me up! Perhaps in a future post you could wrestle with this explanation…
Okay, okay, enough with the silliness. I didn’t come on here to act all acrimonious. No, in fact I came on here to be all acronymous and provide your readers with some fun (truth be told, its really anagramous, but that ain’t a word). We all know that “genuine class” is an anagram for Alec Guinness. But did you ever wonder what fun there is to be had with your own name? “Eye patch fine” is one for Pye In the Face. “Thee fain epic” and “fine ethnic ape” are two others. Dave, I read your two suggested posts and I see that you have bought into the teachings of such great intellectuals as Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly who believe that if you don't like Bushy and the present administration, you are anti-American. Pish! Maybe next time you come to Vancouver, we can organize an intervention (it is for your own good) and try to unbrainwash you.
